Tenants - Holiday Lets

Air Conditioning / Heating  Most Busy Bee properties have ACs in every room.  Where available these work to control the climate to a comfortable level according to your needs and the season.

Appliances  Most appliances are electrical and safe according to EU standards.  Appliances are fairly straightforward to understand and labels are usually in English.  English instruction manuals are normally located in the property.  We have labelled appliance switches where possible for your convenience.

Breakages deposit  We ask for €100 or £100 (depending in which currency you paid) to guard against breakages during your stay.  An inventory is taken prior to your arrival and after your departure and if anything is found to be missing or broken the market cost of a replacement will be taken out of your deposit.  The deposit is refunded within 30 days of your departure.  When you return to the UK please send us an email with your sort number and account code so we can refund your deposit.  Please remember to reference the property you stayed in and your full name as on your account.

Cancellations  Cancellations made will incur an administration charge of €100 if made 8 weeks or more prior to arrival date and the balance will be refunded.  Cancellations made within 8 weeks of arrival will receive no refund as we may not be able to rent your dates out to someone else at such short notice. Check In/Out  Changeover times are generally flexible so normally you can check in as soon as you come from the airport.  Please make sure, however, that we know when you will depart.  There is no extra charge for late check-out so you can stay until you need to get your flight; sometimes, however, we may have a same-day changeover, for which we will need you to depart at 10am. The check-in and -out times will be clearly stated on your booking form.  Generally we expect you to go straight to the accomodation from the airport.

Cleaning  Your accommodation is cleaned 1-3 days before your arrival.  Cleaning products, iron, ironing board etc. are normally provided, should you need them.  If you wish to have a mid-stay clean service this can be arranged.  If you are staying 2 weeks, you will normally be expected to wash your own sheets and towels as there is a washing machine in the property.  If you are booking for 3 weeks or more we can arrange to leave the linen cupboard open for your use.

Currency Exchange  The safest place to exchange currency is the banks.  Hotel rates are less competitive.  Some shops will offer an exchange service.  Some shops along the harbour front in Paphos offer excellent rates but be sure to check the money they give you in front of them before you leave.

Departure  Check-out is at 10am unless otherwise arranged (please see your booking form for the exact time as agreed).  Holiday apartments are slightly different to hotels as they are privately owned.

Keys  Once you have made full payment for your rent, you will be emailed directions on how to find the property and locate the key safe.  You will also be given a secret pin code that is personal to you and changed with every guest.  Use this personal code to open the key safe and gain access to the property.  In order to avoid losing the keys (or to share keys with more than one guest) when you leave the apartment, put the keys in the key safe and re-set the combination - then you will always be able to get into your accommodation.

Linen & Towels  These are supplied according to the number of guests you state on your booking form.  If you need a clean change, you can wash and dry what you need using the washing machine provided within the property.  We can also offer a mid-stay professional cleaning service if you wish.  If you stay for 3 weeks or longer, ask us to leave the linen cupboard open for you.

Parking Some properties have private parking or allocated spaces.  You will see this mentioned in the advertising.  Otherwise parking may be provided on a first-come first-served basis, in which case you may park in any space that you find free.  You will know this to be the case if the spaces are not numbered.

Recycling  Unfortunately not everybody recycles yet in Cyprus. You will find large green bins located outside the property and these are for general rubbish.  We are working hard to convince our owners to install recycle bins.  Recycle bins have been now installed on some main roads in Paphos. Plastic supermarket bags can be recycled as rubbish bags.  The re-cycling bins are colour-coded - brown for paper and cardboard, blue for tins and plastic (inclusive tetrapak drinks cartons) and green for glass (except light bulbs and fluorescent tubes).

Reservations  First of all please check that your chosen property is still available and let us know you are about to make payment so we can provisionally reserve the dates for you.  Once we've confirmed availability with the owner we will ask for 30% of the full rental amount to reserve your dates.  When we confirm receipt of your payment the property is then reserved under your name.  Please note that we work on a first-come first-served basis and if two payments have been received we will refund the latest in full.

Safe  For holiday lets we have asked all our owners to install a safe for the safety of your belongings.  The operating instructions will be either in the welcome folder, inside the safe or printed and displayed near the safe.  Generally safes are located in the bedroom wardrobe.  Although Cyprus generally has a very low crime rate we do not recommend leaving valuables outside the safe.  Please remember to check the safe before you depart.

TV /  DVD players  Normally these are provided.  There are DVD rental shops nearby and a few DVDs supplied in the apartment for your enjoyment.  The local channels are only in Greek but they sometimes show English films with Greek subtitles.
